We are progressive organizers in Chicago’s 44th Ward.
Besides shady real estate deals, our previous 44th ward alderman’s accomplishments included lifting a ban on Foie gras & keeping food trucks out of the city. 🤔
Can someone please explain how then alderman & head of zoning committee Tunney got away with selling a worthless building for 10M six years ago & it’s still sitting there not bulldozed down? How is this not under investigation? He got to appoint his lackey & is still pulling the strings.

Don’t let them fool you. Our alders are making us pay more so that their corporate masters get bigger bonuses. #ProtectChicagoBudget
This. As our city alders side with the ultra rich corporations at the expense of their constituents & still have the nerve to call themselves Democrats. 🤢
Americans say affordability is a top concern for their families — many are struggling to cover basics like dog food or energy bills and don’t see any sign things are improving.

About that “alternative budget” that’s removing CSS ‘head tax’ revenue:
- decreases the long-term financial security of the city
- adding additional fees & taxes on everyday Chicagoans
- cutting benefits for city workers
- is based on revenue & efficiencies that are missing rigorous analysis.

An Institute for the Public Good analysis of the alternative budget proposal made public on December 2, 2025 found that it is constructed with fraught assumptions, core contradictions, and an overall ...

If you live in 44th ward, let Ald. Lawson know that we can see through his nonsense. He needs to listen to his constituents instead of big corporate interests that frankly, have no business in our ward. #ProtectChicagoBudget

“O’Neill Burke’s policy fails to acknowledge the fact that CPD has not earned the benefit of the doubt. Instead of taking away scrutiny, the state’s attorney should be increasing it.”

When government (fed, state, local) breaks the laws it’s supposed to uphold, no one is safe. Black community has known this all along. It’s time the rest of us learned that segregation doesn’t make us safer. It divides us & makes us volnurable to abuse.
Leaders of Chicago's Black community emphasize the need to help immigrants and the Latino community as the Trump administration has targeted the city this year. "The only pathway to collective freedom is to stand in solidarity with one another.”

Our alders are playing games with our communities health & safety because they think we are not playing attention. But we do & so does Santa. FAFO, corporate caucus alders.

Thanks to everyone who showed up to our very first People’s Townhall in the 44th ward & have called and emailed Ald. Lawson’s office in support of the Protect Chicago budget. We sent an update back to Ald. Lawson & requested regular ward night schedule. #ProtectChicagoBudget
