I cycle through a range of emotions while stuck in traffic: despair, anger and finally fatigue. As a Yuwaalaraay woman, I don’t need to be welcomed to my own country; my elders welcome visitors in an act of generosity and respect that is centuries old. This is all so familiar: another election campaign where punching down on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for attention and votes is the default setting. for the record, I am not one of those males who thinks it's gone too far. What is clear to me though is that the leaders for women in this area cannot agree on finding the right balance

At the request of a friend I was asked to form my own judgement of Jacinta Price.

I haven't formed a view however it's hard to ignore when indigenous groups and individuals do not support her.
