January 9, 2025 will be a National Day on Mourning as the people of the United States remembers and honors the life of service of President James Earl Carter Jr.
The last few weeks, I have been thinking about how to best keep moving forward with democracy and to resist the propaganda. It is simple, we need to stay true to who we are. Love each other for who we are. We will keep supporting those who support Democracy. If someone gives hate, give love back.

President Carter was a man of the people, for the people. He acknowledged the people. His Secret Service team knew this about the man they were responsible for and supported him graciously.

Jimmy Carter didn’t sell Bibles with his name on them, claim to be God’s appointed leader, or promise to make Christianity great again.
He lived out his faith through love and service by pursuing peace worldwide, teaching Sunday school, and building 4,447 homes with Habitat for Humanity.

President and Mrs. Carter were incredible supporters of Habitat For Humanity. If you are doing remodeling and have gently used household items or building materials, consider donating them to HFH Restore. They sell these items to the public and use the funds to support the local community.
