Stephanie Ruhle: The president of the United States reposted a false claim that DOGE canceled former President Obama's royalties that he's been receiving linked to Obamacare... that claim originated on a satirical site that clearly even says on its site, 'everything on this website is fiction.'

For a quick timeline cleanse, it was raining this morning so I did my morning walk in the afternoon where the windy weather created this pretty carpet of autumn leaves on a neighbor's lawn. Tap for full size. I hope you have had a great day!

Update: In 3 recent editorials, WaPo failed to disclose owner Jeff Bezos's interest in the matter under discussion.

WaPo added one disclosure after @bgrueskin.bsky.social called it out.

Two weeks after my story, the other two editorials still have none. And the paper still won't say why
'Washington Post' editorials omit a key disclosure: Bezos' financial ties
Three times in the past two weeks, editorials at the 'Washington Post' failed to disclose that they focused on matters in which owner Jeff Bezos had a material interest.

Yup. I said this earlier today, but it was only a guess. Thanks for confirming it. It is no coincidence that of the 8 who came forward to do this, none of them are running in 2026. But they ran cover for some who are.

The fight tonight was over about $25 billion. Thats about 2.5% of the Defense budget. Would cover a year of the enhanced ACA credits. Republicans said that’s unaffordable.

Listen Kaine, Hassan, King, Cortez-Masto, Durbin, Shaheen, Rosen, and Fetterman. You're NOT gonna take away my 2025 election joy. We voted in that election for folks to FIGHT for us. That doesn't include YOU.

YOU are what we voted AGAINST last Tuesday. So I'm gonna hang on to that.

The language of this pardon is extremely broad.

It includes “all United States citizens for conduct relating to the advice, creation, organization, execution, submission, support, voting, activities, participation in, or advocacy for or of any slate or proposed slate of Presidential
electors…”

So apparently senators must now be notified in advance if their phone records are requested during the investigation of a crime. No one else, just senators. So they're free to crime and can't be investigated without notice. This is so wrong, but it's great for senators who want to commit crimes.
