The craziest thing about this fight between Trump and Elon Musk is that Republicans are trying to take away health care from 16 million people to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.

This is what amounts to an ILLEGAL & indiscriminate funding cut for research centers everywhere. It will mean shuttering labs across the country, layoffs in red & blue states, and derailing lifesaving research on everything from cancer to opioid addiction.

We all need to speak out to save lives.

One of the easiest, yet hardest, things that us millennials can do to reduce our risk of cancer. This is hard for certain populations where talking about family health is verboten, and for those who may not know certain parts of their family. In those cases, maybe a genetic counselor could help.
How much do you know about your family's cancer history? If you have a blood relative who has a type of inheritable cancer, it's possible you may have the same genetic mutation they have. Take some time this season to discuss your family health history. bit.ly/4hW1WFP
Knowing your risk for inherited cancers matters
Testing for inherited cancer risk has become more accessible, affordable and accurate. Fred Hutch clinicians and researchers explain why it can be important, how to do it and where the field is headed...

One of the things we are going to lose as Twitter disappears is the history of #BLACKandSTEM, the original hashtag for Black scientists to find each other, created in 2014 by Dr. Stephani Page. Page later said that to be Black and STEM is to do science *and* social justice. #BlackSky 🧪
