The National Weather Service has issued a Snow Squall Warning that's in effect until 11:30pm Wednesday. A squall line is moving east at 25 mph and could bring intense bursts of heavy snow, gusty winds leading to blowing snow, and visibility rapidly falling below a quarter mile.

NYS DOT says Route 13 is closed near the Newfield Roundabout, between Trumbulls Corners Road and Main Street. Avoid the area. We've gotten numerous reports of crashes and poor road conditions, so suggest staying off the roads if possible.

Several hundred NYSEG customers are without power late Friday morning, mostly in the Towns of Ithaca, Dryden, Danby, and Newfield, hours after heavy winds and rain swept across the area. Remember to treat any traffic lights that are out as an ALL-WAY STOP.
