Seriously, does "☑️ Remember me" do anything?

Sometimes when I type my name, it autocorrects to backbench. Relatedly, that's now my username for a retirement account I just opened. I can just imagine the conversation I'm going to have with a bot 20 years in the future about forgetting my login.

Could not agree more. My 95 yo father-in-law is my go to for actual sense.
On the up side I spent a lot of time recently with really pissed off elderly people and poor people and they get it. They get power. And they get bullies. It’s the credentialed among us who are struggling.

This will be my 12th new year's intention a la Frances Ulman. No doubt these past 12 years would've brought many changes with or without these intentions, but I do think life would look differently had I not set them. francesulmanphd.wordpress.com/2013/12/28/a...
A New Year’s Resolution Alternative
New Year’s Resolutions Often Create the Opposite of Change The tradition of setting New Year’s Resolutions has taken many different forms since it began over 2,000 years ago.  Today’s resolutions s…

Spontaneous decision to watch The Goonies last night after streaming Shrinking. We stayed up late to finish it and everything. Lot of screaming, painful representation of gender and race. Chunk is so very good, and the sense of adventure still delights.

If there was a word cloud of the contents of my conversations with others recently, the words "DO YOU WATCH SILO" would loom large.

Every Tetris movie I've watched has been 100% worth it.
Tetris Forever is, well, kind of hard to explain. It’s a documentary about the history of Tetris but also a collection of playable historical Tetris games, from the very first Soviet-era version to a new multiplayer version called Tetris Time Warp. [theverge.com]
Video game history falls into place in Tetris Forever
Building blocks.

Bluesky has gotten LOUD! That's not a bad thing, but I've been here a year and a half and I'm getting used to the changes.

Here's a feed I love. It finds the quieter posters from your follows to display only.

These are often your friends or deliberate follows. Give it a try!

This one time, our local dog park was closed for expansion. It was supposed to take a couple weeks but it took months and months. When it finally opened back up, it was a surprisingly joyous reunion. Weak ties were stronger than we knew. Rn this feels like that.
