This is one small episode in their lives but the cumulative effects of frustrating failed encounters will be significant if Europe keeps cutting language education.

What is the "inner exception", and where do I find it? How many weeks in a remote mountain monastery does it take to find out? What if I can't see the inner exception, no matter how hard I try?

Bottom line: university will be for children of rich European academics again. That's the objective, that's the effect.

-discontinuation of micro-minor profiles in Arabic and Russian
-lower subsidies for study trips to Berlin and Rome
