Hello new folks! Thanks for stopping by. Sometimes I post about biochemistry, but it’s mostly cats/classical music/books/things in my garden here. Live from Cornwall. Beardy, generally worn down by academia.

Also, get to know the people in the basement of your building, and be on good terms with them. You'll need them!

Not a bad day at all, mind you. All’s well in the parish.

Boxing Day stroll. One of those feral rural churches that creeps up on you.

Quite remarkable. The light of other days, and all that. 28 years before I was born (- adjust as appropriate). 28 years ago, just a moment, really; Tony Blair, Jurassic Park and britpop. That does seem equally distant, thinking about it.

Happy Christmas from my garden gang.

Yes. He also refused to turn the lights on when using the kitchen (or bathroom) at night ('not necessary'). I miss him.

*clutches chest*

Fresh from the field! (Lucky I love sprouts, eh).

Essential Xmas gifts from my smallholder relatives. (Not wrapped, but that’s OK).

Grandpa Ginger says don’t you dare describe him as ‘orange’.

M&S nose studs?

Some optimistic (hopeful?) primroses out already for #wildflowerhour (St Ervan, Cornwall).

I would incorporate the complete TL3 sequence, unless you think it would be detrimental to expression somehow.

mulled beer! sounds dangerous.

It’ll keep for a few days before I open it?

Thank you Bluesky hive mind!

Ah, thank you!

@ralitza.bsky.social random question, but do you know what this is? Is it a pickle/preserve? My Polish neighbours gave it to me for Xmas, but have gone home for the holiday, so I can’t ask them. I don’t want to open it if it isn’t a preserve.

If only Bluesky allowed the proper formatting in the original post 😆

An advent flâneur? Meandering locally, but only until Christmas?

(Written incorrectly above due to the formatting shortcomings of Bluesky, but hey ho, Merry Christmas!).
