A national newspaper journalist went on a British TV channel to claim police stats showed asylum-seekers committed 44% of sex crimes in Dorset.

This shocking claim was treated as fact by the channel which promoted the clip on social media where it was amplified by AI.

Except... it's bollocks.

My uncle and aunt lived in the Wylye valley, and we stayed with them on holiday for several childhood years, often driving through Salisbury Plain. I also went there for one or two night ops from school.

Indeed! I've known and loved Salisbury Plain for most of my life. I've only recently got to know the Marlborough Downs a bit, but of course have my own just close.
