Yes there was🫶

Is there something at the end of the rainbow?

We are at it again. #ABFT

Good luck. We are ready to detect cod coming our way👍 @aquatictracking.bsky.social

We’re deploying 106 receivers in the inner Oslofjord for the NMBU cod project with @oceantracking.bsky.social. This study tracks migration and movement shifts in two cod ecotypes and assessing habitat changes. Using Thelma and Innovation equipment, an open protocol is key to the project!

Out in the LilleÅ river, to search for spawning grounds for trout, after their spawning season.
The number of spawning grounds can help estimate the status of the population

Just a nice little spawning ground you think. But in fact the first Sea trout to spawn here in 500+ years. And only because barrier at Mill pond further downstream was removed. #riverrestoration

Yesterday after work walking along local stream looking for this. Can you guess what it is? Hint, it’s not created by humans.

Today we downloaded and serviced the acoustic receivers in the last (and smallest) of the three Danish Straits, completing the 2024 downloads. If you have acoustic tagged fish in the Baltic or North Sea and think they could have been detected, check the ETN database. @fishybiologistkim.bsky.social

Cold fieldwork in Danish chalk stream River Villestrup, trying to recapture adult Sea trout tagged with heart rate loggers. Gin clear water and thousands of Sea trout since dams and weirs were removed a decade ago. @mariepedaccini.bsky.social with a male and female. @fishybiologistkim.bsky.social

Would like to be added plz.

Excited to see what animals that have been detected. I expect there to be some of our tagged Sea trout and Atlantic bluefin tuna🐟🐟🐟 #STRAITS #NorTrack #DtoTrack @aquatictracking.bsky.social @mariepedaccini.bsky.social @fishybiologistkim.bsky.social

Yesterday we downloaded and serviced the acoustic Thelma receiver array in The Sound (Øresund) between Denmark and Sweden. Data will be uploaded into the European tracking network database.

Tagging sharks today with acoustic transmitters. Today’s species is Spiny Dogfish. Excited to follow their migration over the next three years with European Tracking Network. @aquatictracking.bsky.social @fishybiologistkim.bsky.social #NorTrack #DtoTrack

The Turnu Măgurele-Nikopol hydropower project on the Lower Danube has been added to the EU's priority investment list, despite the fact it will increase flood risk, threaten protected areas and the survival of critically endangered species, and violate the EU's own policies. Read more:
