When I hear young people spread Boomer stereotypes, I try to remember that we did it too. We just assumed we knew all about "Depression Babies" and the "World War II Generation." Stereotypes are common because they're so easy.

Thanks, John. When we first started our studies of Cure Violence nearly 10 years ago, we met with police officials in Camden, and I told the story for years. Among all cities we visited, Camden stood out because a table of uniformed leaders there didn't blithely dismiss any effort we now call CVI.

I was expecting to be annoyed by yet another "yay, the police did it" local news story, which is how she started. Fortunately, her interviewees did a good job of telling a more detailed story. And her editors left it alone, which is rare. Congrats!

A great 50th Anniversary version of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" was just released. As a teenager still living in my parents' house then, I listened to it many times. Always kept a window open, and a towel shoved under the door, to make sure that... to keep the smell of... well, you know.

Here's something Trump did that I like. At VP Cheney's funeral, it is truly comforting to see Biden, Bush, Gore, Harris, & Pence set aside any political differences to celebrate Cheney & his family with kindness and humor. Trump wasn't invited. His extremism highlights what remains of our culture.
