We did not "cave" on DEI. The decision to reimagine DEI as something different and more effective was made in October. Our DEI department was ineffective, did not improve outcomes across the University. We spent a lot of taxpayer and tuition money and it..didn't work. That's okay!

Spotted at the #WeAreDEI March!

Just so we are clear, the “purposes for which the NAC was created” have NOT been fulfilled.

I just joined @drsforamerica.bsky.social, "an organization representing 27,000 physicians & medical students that filed a lawsuit against multiple federal agencies over the removal of public health information & health-related data from gov't websites." So glad to see efforts to fight back. #medsky

"Using Black students to criticize and ultimately undermine DEI efforts is operating in bad faith. The NYT article failed in its journalistic integrity by not presenting a more balanced view of what has gone right with DEI at the University of Michigan"
