At our SRHE symposium, we argued that as many countries face growing tensions between local security, sustainability, employability and global engagement, it’s crucial to empirically & theoretically explain the broader societal impact of international mobility www.sciencedirect.com/special-issu...

Maia Chankseliani @mchankseliani.bsky.social makes a compelling argument about the importance of studying the mobility’s societal impact. #SRHE

Thank you, Maia! Grateful also for your questions and inspiring comments.

“The junk papers are likely the products of paper mills—businesses that produce fake science to order.”
A growing problem --- fake papers polluting systematic reviews. And interesting point that the gold-standard protocols that Cochrane is developing to weed out untrustworthy studies, are too much of an effort for systematic-review authors looking at 100s of papers. www.science.org/content/arti...

I started being regularly published when I was 25. I didn't make my first dollar writing until I was 30. I didn't sell my first novel or screenplay until I was 35. Many of you hadn't even heard of anything I'd written until I was over 40.

You have time. There is no expiration date on writers.

"Macron’s initial vision was for only 20 alliances. The fact that there are now 64 raises critical questions that go beyond that of adequate funding. Do so many test beds dilute policy focus? Can such a large number be effectively coordinated?" @timeshighered.bsky.social

Are there too many European university alliances?
Five years in, the Macron-inspired project can be considered a success. But its long-term sustainability needs a clearer political strategy, says Luc Sels
