We looked at the Two Stars 4047 and are considering it for one of our days, though based in Fukuoka the timing on getting to/from its northern gateway at Takeo-Onsen is a bit "extra" on the day.

We looked at the Two Stars 4047 and are considering it for one of our days, though based in Fukuoka the timing on getting to/from its northern gateway at Takeo-Onsen is a bit "extra" on the day.

On that note, one observation of Kyushu was there were a lot less tourists from Europe or America because it's not on the Golden Route
But there were still plenty from China and Korea because Fukuoka Airport is really close and so places like Beppu and Yufuin are more accessible for them.
