One thing I do really like about YGO is that since cards are more siloed, if a deck sucks enough they can give it stupidly over the top support cards like this guy b/c the cost to playing it is having to play B.E.S. cards. Multiple interactions and sending resources from deck to GY for free let's go

The main thing that's been confusing me in the last year or two is this text. YGO has a going first problem, b/c it depends on on-board interaction and the player going first establishes it before OP. So why do they keep restricting new cards to be useless for breaking boards going second???

What I find really confusing about YGO is how it feels like they keep actively making their game worse. I don't mean in the way where every game changes and "it's ruined now". I mean YGO goes "this is the new norm" and a change produces gameplay issues and they double down on it. It's odd.

Hearing Koki Uchiyama in any anime after zexal is so funny to me, this guy wants to scream yugioh, an amazing skill, no one wants it. No one wants to scream ygo and he has to keep it in. Kaito wants to break free.
