draconym on tumblr - I think it sucks that you have to go to so many different kinds of doctor to take care of yourself. It's the 21st century. I should be able to go to a single office where they scan me with a big xerox machine and tell me what I'm allergic to and why my tummy hurts and if I have any any cancer or cavities or if my glasses prescription has changed. And then I should get a sticker.

Who remembers Kodak? They were a stock market high flyer with Polaroid, Xerox, and IBM in the 60's and 70's. They were the technology group of the day.

Joseph Wilson was the founder of the Xerox Corporation, a graduate of the University of Rochester and Harvard Business School and a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity (Beta Phi chapter). He helped to develop xerography pioneered by Chester Carlson.

OTD 1981: Silicon Graphics is incorporated. 2 years later, the IRIS 1000 shipped with the "Geometry Engine".

TIL the IRIS networking first used XNS (Xerox) protocols, not TCP/IP. Fixed in a later release :-)

Part of building the world of Phantom Pulse has been diving into the archives of fabulous 90s zines like Punk Planet. And maybe we've had a little fun imagining what might have been written if Phantom Pulse were real...

They've been around the under ground circuit for a year now, but the big news of the day is that they're playing a show at The Clover next month.
Normally not all that note- worthy, but those that are in the know will remember the last time they played there. August '93, there was some kind of power surge at the venue and all four of them were electrocuted on stage. Yowza!!!
Thankfully, they were all fine (after a bit), but The Clover definitely got egg on their face. Probably why they feel like they should give Phantom Pulse a headlining slot, despite not being very established. If I were them, I'm not sure I'd go back, but if you want to catch them, that's August 2nd, a year to the day they got those shocks. Good luck, guys! Thanks! One of the hardest ones I’ve worked on in terms of pencil mileage. The baseball scenes with Homer killing people- had to xerox drawings WAY down and cut them into animation paper bc they were so small. Sure it made drawing them for the animators tricky but they did a great job!
