I haven't had grader's block but I think it's important to remember that grading can quickly cause decision fatigue as you need to make lots of small decisions. Break down the marking into small chunks and do 2-3 papers at a time. If you can't do that you might have a workload issue so join a union

Pretty intense day of data crunching today which seemed to be well received by the client. Pretty unsustainable workload at the moment though, with multiple projects (and sub-projects) requiring my focus. Another project opportunity landed this week too, with my inputs likely also required on that 🤯

I think whats funny is that my supervisors think im fine. Its my overachieving coworker who thinks we're not fast enough or that we should be adding more to our workload. Im just gonna keep doing what im doing unless management is telling me otherwise she can eat dirt

The depreciation should be more akin to Bitcoin mining ASICs: each new process node drops the power consumption (eg 7nm to 5nm drops it by roughly half), so for a given workload a newer device can do it more cost effectively. I assume there are models for other domains like this (airliners?).
