This is a big misstep for Ubuntu; the question isn't whether wget or wcurl is better, the problem is that removing wget from any Linux distro invalidates extremely widespread scripts and instructions for retrieving things on Linux.

Learned of #wcurl today. And I must say, I never even thought of making a wrapper to curl. Especially for downloading files. Yes there's a bazillion flags you need, but those flags have purpose. 😅
