It isn't, it's the organisational nature of a team who have often been good, but not good enough over several time periods. Just short in the V8 era, took them a few years to get to Mercs in the V6-era, nearly won the WCC last year. They've been unluckier NOT to win one more than anything else.

Holy cow! Three games left to go until the postseason. This probably locked us in for good, but wouldn't hurt to not lose the next two games (quad 4). RPI at 15 and still set to face 7 RPI San Diego at the end of the year. At the top of the WCC standings.
