it’s still baffling to me that the average wbtoon reader navigates the plot through tropes and not the… actual text. i see so many ppl have very wrong theories when a rofan slightly deviates from standard tropes. why are you even reading when you expect everything to follow a template 😭

I'm reminded of the wbtoon "The Monstrous Duke's Adopted Daughter". The lead was raised by assholes who, among other things, taught her that all women should strive for marriage. When she mentions this to her adopted mother, she's asked, "Do the women who say that seem happy in their own marriages?"
