happy #fossilfriday! bonus: this is barylambda, a pantodont from the paleocene and early eocene. despite looking like a cross between a ground sloth and a wombat, recent evidence suggests that barylambda was a stem-ungulate, related to modern hoofed mammals

Hreogan is an older Aevial, a fantasy race of angel-like bird people who are genetically spliced with bird & ungulate DNA. They have forehead horns used for magic. Hreogan for example has osprey & narwhal DNA. He also owns a library & collects magic tomes, using them on Marhaz like in this comic

one of the earliest definitive phorusrhacids is paraphysornis, which originates from either the late oligocene or early miocene of brazil, and is – unusually for the group – known from a skeleton that is roughly 75% complete

Our own synapsid lineage wasn't left out, from the depth of the early permian with Eothyris and Sphenacodon to much more recent periods during which lived the bone-crushing dog Epicyon🐕 or Cainotherium (the perfect mix between an ungulate🦙 and a rabbit🐇)

There is also this fluffy little lemur or marmoset and an ominous ungulate, but I couldn't ID them on sight and I'm *really* sleepy today so your knowledge is welcome. Buffalo Zoo please describe and label your creatures.

This POS odd-toed ungulate is fantasying about enormous gilded ballrooms and Empire Arches when the masses go without food or healthcare and people are rounded up like cattle on our streets. Trump and the Republicans must go.

A cervid, peculiarly colored in a way as to resemble the drink itself. An unusual pigmentation, underscored by the aberrant bipedal nature of the anthropomorphized stag itself, resulting in a curious ungulate of striking appearance on a strikingly broad number of levels.

tl;dr — A teal deer.

"oh but Arthur is intimidating, the animal would have to b-"

First of all if an unusually large squirrel were standing in your kitchen you'd leave the house call the cops

Second

Have you actually been close to a large ungulate

You wouldn't think they're unintimidating if you have, trust me
