In our D&D in a Castle campaign, our party needed to talk with The Lady of Pain, and befriended a mindflayer named Cassie who The Lady could talk though. Unfortunately it did hurt Cassie so Moonlight and Kiya brace her as she is being spoken through.

An illustration of my D&D character Nila when their were younger, pre-campaign, with their deceased lover Mal’olin.

They had a beautiful reunion at the end of our mini campaign and lived the rest of their lives adventuring together.
