Young Tri-Color Heron on an overspill retaining wall. Pic was taken at Hammock Park in Dunedin FL. Dunedin sits on the St Joseph Sound in the Tampa Bay area of the Gulf of Mexico. The water was unusually high yesterday. He had to hop around to find a rock suitable to fish from for his breakfast.

A stunning deep-sky image of spiral galaxy NGC 4651, also known as the Umbrella Galaxy. The bright disk of the galaxy is surrounded by a faint, umbrella-shaped arc of stars—a tidal stream resulting from the disruption of a smaller satellite galaxy. The arc extends far above the galactic disk, curving gracefully like a handle and canopy. Countless background stars and faint galaxies are scattered throughout the dark field of space.
