I swear, he’s morphed into an ancient Max Headroom. Stuttering, vocal tics and all.

This reminded me that Mickey Rooney had an illegitimate love child who taught judo out of a hair salon called Nippers.

It’s not that, it’s the liking it in fiction and hating it IRL? I don’t get that part. I completely get not liking others stims and tics and such, we all are not the same, but if you like it in fiction, why don’t you like it irl? Or the other way around?

#wotd Fossil Arkitekt, circa 2002. Has a Swiss Ronda quartz movement, and a very nice large display where I don’t have to wear my glasses to read! 🤣 Wish I still had the Fossil Big-Tics but that’s alright.

Experience with my own tics. People don’t like it when you don’t shut up. Constantly making noise makes you target

So I think it’s very interesting that something I was once bullied for when I was young is something people find attractive in Soleil. It’s nice when you can’t actually hear it I guess

This is one of those behavioural tics I see in use ALL the time on TikTok/YouTube/etc for people trying very hard to make things look off the cuff and not too slick. But it’s also that there’s a visual grammar to certain types of video that people then copy without even being sure why.
why have reporters, politicians, influencers, etc. all of a sudden seem to have started holding lapel mics to talk into them? it’s a lapel mic, it’s specifically designed to go on your shirt or lapel, you look ridiculous holding it, stop it.

I wanted to give Sophia motor tics, but since one of my first memories is looking around the room at preschool to check if anyone was looking at me as part of deciding whether to suppress a tic, I don't remember how I figured out I could suppress them and couldn't write her figuring it out.

I have honestly never been able to understand how anyone listens to him and/or watches him when he speaks. He's a bizarre collection of tics and histrionics.

I wish there was something I could do to help you but you live so far away! I hope your insurance coordinator fights for you and they get something sorted out for you ASAP. What side effect did you get from antipsychotics? I had one that caused facial tics that eventually went away after a year

Guf på is, aldrig? Har du aldrig set eller hørt om det?

Du skal sige præcis som du vil, jeg pjatter bare fordi jeg synes det er et pattet/børnet ord. Jeg siger sikkert også noget andre får tics omkring højre øje af.

Lesson learned: don't take strong antipsychotic medication for 6 years when you don't actually need it and there are better, safer options available to you. You might develop facial tics, and your brain will short circuit forever when you go off of them, no matter how careful you are about tapering.

🎃; this scene is my favorite tic he's developed ( verbal tics are in fact not painful for my husband he in fact also thinks it's funny )

🎃; my husband has tourettes and has had to explain his several SML tics to his older coworker and it was really fucking funny

I think I would add tics to the sliders

Now THIS is a confession!! What kind of tics? Are they severe and frequent? Like would I notice right away or are they slight like “is she winking at me?” Is it Tourette’s related? This fascinates me.

✨ Read this trending post from Culture | The Guardian 📖 📂 Category: Classical music,Culture,Music,City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra ✅ Main takeaway: SEpilius and Shostakovich shared a gift for lyrical storytelling, lending cohesion to this evening of musical narratives in Symphony Hall, from the light-hearted myths and legends of Finland to the customary pronouncements of the Soviet composer's final symphony.

Conor just had a really self-aware moment in the family meeting, admitting his tics are less frequent because he's finally feeling comfortable with the housemates. It's great to see him open up! #BBAU #BBAULive #BigBrotherAU

This is the best video I've ever seen. I watch it periodically.

He was diagnosed with Tourettes, which manifests as tics for him.

In the middle of a performance, he had an episode, and the audience sang to him.

I don't think a performer has ever felt more loved than he did in that moment.
