A one-shot about Dammon and Rolan, two guys who can't be open about their feelings while they're, at the same time, very obvious about them (and a little horny).

"Oh, yes, it is! I mean, no. Ahem." Rolan coughed into his fist and quickly gathered his wits. "You see, it might be considered an emergency from my point of view, but it's nothing urgent. Not outside this…" He looked around, frowning at the cobwebs hanging from the wooden beams, "Room," he finally said.

"Now I'm curious." Dammon allowed himself to smile. Even Rolan wouldn't make a pretentious production of them being attacked. This seemed to be, indeed, a personal matter.

"Good! Curiosity is good! It's healthy, and pursuing knowledge to satisfy it leads to a healthy mind. Especially as a wizard apprentice, I—"

"Rolan!" Dammon chided, laughing quietly.

"Ah, right!" Rolan matched the volume of Dammon's laugh, but it ended up being shorter. And a little breathless.

To see the boisterous, always so confident in his worth, pretended or not, falter like this was more than worth the interrupted sleep.
