As hard as it is to believe, Oz has impeccable credentials, and was a gifted Thoracic surgeon. His path of Quakery is weird AF. "Behind the Bastards" podcast did a couple of excellent episodes about him.

This is possibly the most personal story I've ever written, about love and grief and a bird nesting inside your thoracic cavity, and I'm so glad it's out in the world today. ❤️

Dr. Oz “has familial links to one of Turkey's largest pharmaceutical
companies, Atabay, that was founded by his maternal grandfather. It makes ingredients for medications, including opioids, that are currently sold in the United States.”

Anyone say…opioids?

🧪🦋Found this really old book in the @romtoronto.bsky.social entomology collection. Probably from the 1800s. Looks like the draft of an early Canadian entomology textbook. Trying to figure out the author & year. Any thoughts?🪰🐛 (E.M. Walker was the 1st curator @ROM, might be his?)

My anxiety attack today was heart rate over 180 beats per minute, pain from my lower thoracic all the way around my Left ribs to my sternum. Acid reflux made this worse (a feedback loop)

I need to step up my anxiety management game; these are anxious times
