Each character in The Book of Rynn is gonna have 5 attributes! Strength will dictate attack power, dexterity will dictate defence, vigor will dictate maximum HP, conviction will dictate maximum MP and magic damage and fortune will dictate, well, you'll see! Yk, standard RPG fare 😅

"I said, you will not touch him." Her voice was a growl filled with unmitigated rage.
"I won't...be bested by a...filthy...mage," [he] spat as he attempted to sit upright.

Getting a huge nerd kick out of designing a weapons list and tweaking attack power progression curves for each archetype.
In The Book of Rynn, "Archetypes" are "functional" whereas "class" is a lore-friendly denominator. Ex: "Town guard" would be a class, "soldier" would be its archetype.

I started working on The Book of Rynn 3 years ago. It was originally made w/ RPG Maker MZ while trying to mimic the limitations of the NES, which proved to be more hassle than actually dealing with those limitations. Looking back at the RMMZ version, I wasn't doing such a great job! 😅 #jrpg #nesdev
