I think the Quench takeback at Worlds is pretty understandable, because that's actually a situation that MTGO kind of allows. Declare casting Quench. Go to activate mana abilities. Realize you want to reverse while doing so. Give up on casting. I think that was an established setup

Takeback stuff is a very reasonable thing to take issue with, if you acknowledge that the tournament rules have actually supported exactly what we saw on camera since 2018 and that it's a case where playing by the tournament rules as they exist is bad and should be fixed and not a player issue.

I'm not watching (and too lazy to look up who Seth's opp is) but I've gotta wonder if it was someone other than someone of Seth's caliber, if they'd have allowed the takeback.

Yeah, I've definitely had some shops tell me that they're willing to take rags, so presumably they have a deal that just about works for them? ASDA also have the 'George takeback' scheme which says it can take rags -- not very clear what they do with them though.
