Thankfully there are companies like System76 and Tuxedo providing good laptop and desktop machines with Linux preinstalled. But I don't really see them marketing outside the Linux community yet.

I got a System76 Laptop (they are Linux first machines) and I mostly like it so far.
But... The model I got has a firmware problem that makes in not wake from sleep if the nvidia GPU is enabled, which is disappointing for me, but could be a game breaker for others

I know the company who makes Pop also sells hardware (System76). I don’t recall ever seeing anything about charging for the distro itself. Maybe support?

also system76 arguably has more power over Pop!_OS than RedHat does fedora but thats a different discussion and starts getting a tad controversial ...
