I think at first Power Girl was just supposed to be older, and that we were supposed to believe Supergirl would eventually grow up to be similar. But that has obviously diverged over time but never addressed.

They're nuts then. Because I rather see more footage of the Sasha Calle Supergirl than whatever from the So called Snyder cut. Supergirl I at least liked from The Flash.

It's time to re-watch Supergirl.

I've watched this series too many times to count.

Is there an in-universe explanation why Supergirl and Power Girl have different builds even though they're the same person (technically)?

Guest writer Joss Whedon here to say that Supergirl isn't feminine, she's powerful, and she's only feminine when it's powerful to be feminine

Gunn is already doing that. He is planning a Booster Gold project, and The Authority. he already did Creature Commandos, and Peacemaker. Also Supergirl and Lanterns is coming up soon.

you already know who it is

I don't know how much more I can read "many people say Supergirl was soft, but in my numerous experiences she was never soft" and two paragraphs later "She was caring, compromising, and forgiving" like what do you even mean at that point. You're just saying words

I'm reading Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and I'm so close to liking it but the unnecessary, messy anthology pacing is exhausting

The Flash bore witness to the vast multiverse of the DC universe & he saw...a couple of Batmen, a couple of Supermen, a Supergirl & another Flash.

Not that I necessarily wanted to see an uncanny valley CG Lynda Carter, but it's telling they couldn't be arsed to include the only other Wonder Woman.

For god's sake Tom, can you write *ANY* character without going out of your way to characterize their life as torturous? Even to the point of not even making much sense?
Every time with this guy, I swear....

Reading Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow tonight, and while the art is pretty great and I always enjoy seeing creative cosmic settings...I'm still a bit put off by King's writing. Namely how much of it there is. I get that our POV character is formal, but jeezum crow, less text in the next issue please.

I hope they release a DC Finest collection of "The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl" series by Paul Kubberberg and Carmine Infantino that came out in the 1980's.
It's my all-time favorite version of the character. It was short-lived but it was great while it was around. :-)

James Gunn says ‘SUPERGIRL’ doesn't follow the ‘WOMAN OF TOMORROW’ comic religiously

“I love Milly Alcock in the movie. It's a space fantasy which is, like Guardians in a way, but based on the Tom King book. It doesn't follow it religiously, but it has a lot of the core of that there”
