Obama rurals combined with Spanberger Cadres wine moms in the suburbs, ay dios mio
in January it was
Rural:
GOP - 60%
Dem - 32

Suburban:
Dem - 46%
GOP - 45%

Urban:
Dem - 59%
GOP - 33%

so that's a 6 point swing left in rural areas, 6 point swing left in suburban areas, and a 13 point swing left in urban areas
Would love to see some earlier breakdowns of GB to compare this with

Latest AI crap from desperate MAGA. Tell me you don't know Amish communities are extremely socialist without telling me. Better yet try living the Amish lifestyle in your suburbs. Let me know how that goes with your HOA.

Hans Gude painted this remarkably detailed depiction of Sandvik Fjord (1879) from above Sandviken, now the northern suburbs of the Norwegian city of Bergen, looking to the west and the island of Askøy.

Underrated apocalypse scenario for the GOP: The Obama coalition that slipped to Trump mostly goes back to supporting dems and they keep all their gains in the suburbs.

I didn't expect masked thugs going through Mid-South suburbs and trying to pick up landscapers. Mea culpa.

look at our taxpayer dollars at work. trespassing on private property to harass and intimidate innocent people while wearing a fucking tactical keffiyeh in the suburbs of Charlotte.

The entirety of CBP needs to be repurposed to dig ditches or cut fire breaks. Maybe clean public parks in DC
Video from nickdelacanal on Instagram of CBP trespassing on private property and giving up after a few attempts to entrap landscapers.

I'll die on the hill that suburbs are more dehumanizing and cause more antisocial behavior than urban areas.

it's happening in states with diversifying suburbs. it's not happening in the states where the suburban populations haven't changed much. maybe the ACA carnage shakes some loose but I wouldn't count on it

“Because Berlin’s sprawling city limits encompass large swaths of what would be suburbs in other capitals, voters on the urban fringes cast ballots with a vengeance.”

In city-regions with CAR DEPENDENT suburbs, urbanists need to be context-specific with our talk about cars, lest we fuel backlashes.
‘The car belongs in Berlin’: city backpedaling on bike-friendly policies, critics say
Car-critical measures have been slashed since the conservative CDU came into power in 2023, triggering protests and dividing communities

Charlotte’s blue, but its suburbs especially aren't *that* blue. If they were, NC would more reliably vote Dem. So it's remarkable how they want to visibly disrupt and threaten an ordinary fall suburban Saturday.
South Boulevard Home Depot being used as a staging area. Activity also being reported on Central.
