so i took out some ram but it still strains massively just on basic websites. Ultimately thinkpads might just have terrible heat sinks. maybe even all portable machines do and this isn't commonly known just because normal people don't use the same one and nothing else for years and years

I think it can depend on the strain, too. My symptoms were way better with this bout than they were the first time. It's kinda like the flu shot...they try to get as many strains in but it's good to get it anyway because if you do get flu, it won't knock you down as badly.

It's really messed up how (a) lots of stuff doesn't need the ER and in fact strains the ER's resources (b) oh but going to an urgent clinic instead takes insured patient revenue from the ER which also strains its resources.
