The square they're trying to circle is that: 30% of the time it has NFI what the question means; users overwhelmingly prefer any b/s answer over "I don't know"; and TPTB don't appreciate those responses being mocked in public.

i was thinking collet block (idk how familiar you are, it's an easy way to machine square/rectangular/hexagonal stuff on a round part) because no one makes ER20 collet blocks... but then i realized i already have a set of ER25 collets for the bigger mill so i might as well get ER25 blocks

Technically the QR identification block includes the little square as well but that's an easy aesthetic fix now that the rest of the qr code is there

That is not the case in Europe. EU average population density is well over double the continental US average. In Germany it's 242 people per square kilometre. Populations are older, resources have been tapped. There is less money and less energy. And even so Germany provides more in aid than the US.

extremely funny way that I have just bikesticked myself: somehow managed to crash the control panel on my stereo system, the radio is on, the display lights up, but it won’t respond to any control inputs.
the funniest bit? this isn’t some modern smart device, it’s from the 1980s.

There's a shortage of all of those things! You live in a country with practically limitless land. It is the world's biggest oil producer and the world's biggest food producer. There are vast untapped resources in the US. Population density is a mere 43 people per square km.
