OK, this might be the most Emily Sturgess thing I've ever said, but I've just watched a video of Jack from Springwatch speed processing a wren while out ringing, and it might be the most attractive thing I've ever seen.

Have you not seen how polarised the people chosen at random for Question Time are? We’ll be seeing Springwatch at 8 followed by Migrantwatch at 9

@jezhiggins can’t imagine Chris Packham breaking out the “fuck me it’s all kicking off” on Springwatch

It's Colin the Fox's 12th birthday! (inspired by watching Springwatch with kids, then buying daughter [9 at the time] a Mummy and baby fox in Ikea)

There are channels especially for cats. Not just YouTube, but anything narrated by Sir David Attenborough, Springwatch and the new series with Hamza. Many of our cats will watch for a bit, but Bubu really is addicted. I'll see if I can attach a video with Bubu and Felix... 🙂

I used to be just as guilty, so can't be too mouthy. It needs to be made more of a thing though. Still reckon something like Springwatch is the best bet. But there's people out there who replace a cat as soon as it gets hit, and wonder why it happens again. Hard to suggest a polite remedy for that.

Of course, and I’m the sort that enjoys watching nature in cracks in the pavement and is hospitable to spiders in the house. Nevertheless I feel a pang watching Springwatch or Countryfile, realising how cut off I am without making a bigger effort than is compatible with my current circumstances 😔

Good lord. I was assuming David was cross about something like Springwatch (because 'everyone knows black people can't really care about *our* countryside') but, no. Black people are just too goddamn sexy and this scares him.
David, that’s not a “point”, it’s a racist trope. Reducing Black people to being “sexier” or “more attractive” isn’t analysis, it’s lazy objectification. It’s ignorant, not insightful.

If you were stranded on a desert island and were only able to watch the entire back catalogue of 4 TV shows, what would you choose?

For what it’s worth, I went for Coronation Street (obviously), Springwatch, The Chase and Top of the Pops

So clearly I’ve given a lot of weight to lots of episodes!
