#sociability
For Arc Raiders to ride the wave of human sociability all the way to the bank, while also being so contemptuous of the thing that makes us social animals in its own workflow demonstrates a lack of artistic integrity that I find impossible to ignore.

Is there “life after cars?” As authors always say, “you’ll have to read the book.”*

Congrats to @visionzerovancouver.ca on a great packed event last night with @sgoodyear.bsky.social & @brooklynspoke.bsky.social + guests @lucymaloney.bsky.social & @tomflood.bsky.social.

*spoiler: a BETTER life!

Hmmm. 74 random dogs isn't a good sample. It's interesting as a social experiment, but it's not 'good science.' They'd need to temp/intelligence test the dogs. They'd all need to be the same age, intelligence, confidence and sociability to make it solid. Testers would have to be the same age/race...

Proper treat yesterday listening to Dr Ana Vale of Uni of Porto speaking on her incredible research into social lives in Late Prehistory. Thank you to @bbkhistorical.bsky.social and @lesleymcf.bsky.social for the invitation, the Carena Institute for Sustainable Archaeologies is up and running 🌟

especially early on, the opening stages of a campaign are (for lack of a better word) parasitic on existing networks of sociability and trust, and you can save yourself a lot of organizational bootstrapping by keying into things that already exist.

Our new study: territorial cichlids ramped up metabolic rate around conspecifics, while cardinal tetras showed little change. And only in tetras did individual sociability relate to metabolic rate. Energetic consequences of “social living” depend on social system. link.springer.com/article/10.1...

Ah. The Atlantic is doing a discourse...
A reminder that most dichotomies are false and most social parables turn out to be just that: stories to present a value system, not matters of fact.
It is likely that neither weed nor alcohol consumption have much to do with sociability.

also the sociability well-being aspects of eating together, obvious in seeing people solo in cafes.

I cannot express to you how cute some of the images in this piece on snake sociability are. Look at these prairie rattlesnake pups huddling on a female who is likely their mother!

I can only process about five new people a day. I think the pressure the need for a large following, or any size following is hard on neurodivergent people. Perhaps this will be another perspective for you to consider. Not all introverts are working with the same sociability skills.

they’re both beautiful TO ME and thats all that matters. but. in canon:

san is “cute” but nothing special. her sociability is more likely to endear her to someone that pure looks.

meanwhile i do think fou is considered handsome. he doesn’t get it. he denies it. but he is a pretty boy.

Noxious Sociability? like it's almost poisonous to be around

lrp — even if that post was made in partial jest, honestly burnout also affects SO many things, including your sociability & social life. doesn’t matter if it’s irl, online or whatever other thing you invest time & effort in. burnout exists in so many different ways. death by a thousand little cuts.

In a home shaped by care and choice, Nermeen and Curly model rest, routine, and relational grace. Their shared space—tile, wood, and the Hallie Berry bowl—honors texture, autonomy, and the quiet power of daily rituals. #CatsBeingCats #Catpics #cannabis #marijuana #cats

Abusers want to rig the world in favor of abusers. It’s why wingnuts despise stuff like social & emotional learning in schools. These programs encourage reflection, empathy, boundaries, sociability, etc. The goal: produce people 1) who aren’t toxic assholes and 2) who can call out shitty behavior.

I will say, fully seriously, that God or YHWH or whatever higher power you could believe in, created wolves as a test for Humanity.

Because here is a large, fierce, powerful predator with an enormous capacity for sociability. And if you’re not an asshole they will love you instead of eating you.

I went to a con today and to be quite honest I went into it a bit socially awkward not knowing if I could socialize properly, but it reminded me how much fun it is to talk to artists in person.

But I definitely need to improve on my social skills again, waitress work ruined my sociability.

I love Muller's note here, saying that she only wrote a simple gift dedication because she was aware that the book might be seen by others, indeed hoped it would be. She signs off as "your friend in ever living sympathy". There's so much going on here for books, sociability, and nature of evidence.

our extreme sociability in the last few months is either a manic episode we are +right+ in the middle of or all those anti-anxiety meds are finally ramping up
September 29, 2025 at 6:40 AM
That's pretty cool I admire you're sociability.
