I know it's not a siphonophore but imagine how cute a clione one would be

Imagine a siphonophore character who refers to itself in plural

it must be crazy to be the siphonophore zooid that's been designated only to cum

I love how each one of these designs can be so different from the last. Can’t wait to make more. As always still open for suggestions of ideas to mutate the base dragon with :)

Thank you @clichejames.bsky.social for the suggestion!

The next mutation is Siphonophore! This one was a lot of fun to design.

If you see anyone that uses AI, even not in the furry circle, go find and block them asap. It’s all a giant siphonophore, and blocking is the best way to stop them from using your art/comms from being fed to the machine

Often mistaken for a type of jellyfish, the beautiful-but-poisonous Portuguese man-of-war is actually a siphonophore! These "colonial organisms" are made up of genetically identical, highly specialized parts called zooids that work together for the good of the whole—and can pack a powerful punch!

I think being reborn as a single unit in a siphonophore colony would be nice

even just the word Siphonophore is amazing. el querido monstro...
November 5, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Its a siphonophore, not a jellyfish, isn't it?

My Friend, "Hey can you make me a fursona?"
Me, "Uh, yeah. Just gimme a week because that is /not/ my specialty bro-"

Anyway she's getting a siphonophore because she loves those and it's funny (also a german shepard but y'know-)
((How TF do you draw animals- ;_;))

Velella velella is the by-the-wind sailor, a type of floating colonial siphonophore, almost like a tiny version of portuguese man-of-war. It is often found in large numbers on beaches because they have a "sail" set at 45° either to the left or right.

I saw a really cool creature snorkeling this summer, & every time I try to think of the word pyrosome (which it was), I get stuck on siphonophore for some reason...
