Are you also using the Nik Collection's SilverFX Pro for this cabinet card photo edit? I haven't used it in years but apparently, it is still highly regarded for doing monochrome photo editing of all kinds.

A lot of post in SilverFX!

i:

- added clarity (nik silverfx)
- lifted exposure on the girl & rock
- darkened sea
- lightened sky

The color is good and if you hadn't posted the b&w I would find no problem with it, BUT that monochrome simply pops in a way the color doesn't (silverfx?)

Admittedly not used Exposure, but I did used to use Nik, back in the day (in fact, my first long-form project was edited with SilverFX). I would say that the latest version is still VERY capable of doing the job, and is probably still the best for BnW work.

But it IS starting to feel its age.
