#silinot
working on this raven skull cast with air dry clay, came out pretty nicely. Some of the more delicate areas broke a bit, but I am going to lean into that. I think the other half will be mostly resin, maybe some minerals or something.

Reusing filament cardboard for mold making, worked pretty great minus my own mistakes (not following directions.)
Alumilite (?) had a video calling cardboard tubes essentially mold dispensers, and it reminded me I had a few empty wheels to recycle

My mold tore, rather severely. The positive is still in good shape, but the Silinot isn’t, I imagine I could “glue” it back together with some more Silinot. maybe it’s a sign to go with silicone for real?

Lessons learned for next time:
- use an easier to release glue on the positive
- avocado oil works as a mold release
- read directions. do not stir the Silinot so much (bubbles). I think I also forgot to tape them out after pouring.
- surprisingly easy to peel from stuff,
easy to clean!!

You can’t make something this delicious looking and smelling and not let people eat it #silinot

Forgot to post this a few days ago. I cast the bangles in resin since just doing the gems alone didn't work (couldn't make them fit into the 3d print).

While both molds were made with Silinot, one mold never let the resin set completely. So I ended up just using one mold repeatedly.
