So I dunno. I could go try and go back to learning FreeCAD but I did appreciate Shapr3D closer to SketchUp in workflow while having things like a component/history tree, variables etc

Okay out of all the more cheaper-end available CAD tools I like Shapr3D, but I am craving something with more sophisticated path tools and variable point chamfer/fillet tools. And something where I don't have to do fastener stuff manually.

Can't wait to start drawing all the cute personalized details tho! Already have it planned to give Sora a pet moss ball, quite a few plushies, photos of friends and family, ect, ect.

Yah, I used my iPad and shapr3d to model it out, and it’s all just printed in PLA. Not the best material, but it’s sooo easy to print in and it’s what I have the most colors of. I really want to design and make a popper walker sometime soon.

One downside to the part is there is not a gasket to mount to the case included, and is kind of needed as the plugs mean you can not mount it flush. Easily solved by 2 mins in Shapr3D...

Okay, so I think I'm getting the hang of Shapr3D. Today I think I'm gonna play with Blender. I've on and off used it over the years, so it shouldn't be too hard to pick up. But hopefully, if it can't help me land a job, I'll at least have skills I can use in my own projects moving forward.

Started to play around with Shapr3D. Not sure how much I’ll be using it in my own work, but a lot of jobs I’ve been seeing pop up are looking for 3D modelers instead. And I’m determined to land a new job, even if it means teaching myself to 3D model to any degree

This is my first design made in shapr3D, after switching from the free tier of fusion, so I can actually share the design files for this one. In case anyone else wants to place these, or similar, speakers onto their bedframe.

It’s probably on the simpler side but I’ve had a good time with Shapr3D over the years. It’s pretty tedious for screws and complicated models, but it runs like butter and has some light parametric support with variables
