The dragons in the tales he'd heard were greedy and ferocious, and while Zemo could be that way when he wanted, he was also kind and thoughtful. Zemo cared very much for any creature under his protection, Mobius had learned, and that extended to him. The dragon had gone out of his way to make his cave as comfortable as possible for Mobius until the place was just as much his home as the house in the village had been. The only thing Zemo asked for in return was stories and Mobius obliged every night. He told every story he could think of, some true, others were tales he'd been told as a child. Depending on Zemo's mood, he might tell stories of action and adventure or he might tell quiet stories about his family and the memories they shared. Sometimes, if Mobius was lucky, Zemo would share stories of his own. Those were the stories Mobius valued most as they were so rare and surprising. He tucked each away until he could write them down to be remembered.

Loki slipped away into the TVA, wandering for a while to get the jittery feeling out of him. Mobius would be fine. This was going to work. He told himself this over and over until he almost believed it. His feet brought him to a place Mobius had taken him a long while back. The snacks were apparently unrivaled but it was tucked out of the way in a less used corner of the TVA so he didn't always have the time to go there. Loki picked a few snacks out and set them on the counter to pay before noticing something else sitting on the counter. It was a small toy, similar to some the children of Asgard had, except it was shaped like a bear maybe. It was crudely made and hard to tell. What really caught his attention was the necktie on it. It was positively absurd. Maybe it was the sleep deprivation but Loki added the stuffed bear to the pile of snacks and brought it home to Mobius.

At some point, he notices Loki pulling his tie loose, then trying to undo his top button and clearly not having much luck. There's a faint growl and they pull back, forcing Mobius to try and chase those red, swollen lips. He ends up staring at them until his brain kicks in and he blinks, looking up to see a faint flush of pink over pale cheeks and darkened green eyes. “Why are these things so difficult?” they purr, fingers working to open his collar. It takes a few seconds of fidgeting and then the material drops, falling away from his neck, allowing Loki’s fingers to brush along the exposed skin. “So beautiful.” Mobius shivers, biting his lip both in pleasure and to stop the self-depreciating rebuttal forming on his tongue.

"Would you like a cookie? Or some juice?" she asked, noting the way Mobius was eyeing the cart. "Yes, please," Mobius answered. They all exited the elevator and Mobius sat down in the chairs that were well placed in all the hallways and he picked out a cookie and a juice box. "And for yourself?" the woman, who had told them she was a volunteer at the Institute, asked Loki. "No, I couldn't," Loki responded. "Nonsense, as his caregiver you should have one too," the woman insisted. Loki picked out a plain looking shortbread and the woman left them to deliver to other patients. Mobius couldn't help but smile as he nibbled on his cookie and considered how welcoming the place was compared to other buildings he'd gone to, even other hospitals and clinics. The place was considerate to the people coming through its doors, anticipating their needs. The lighting was softer, there were places to rest, and the comfort of everyone was taken into consideration. Mobius had begun his day fearful of what it would bring and was leaving the Institute a little sad that he wasn't returning, though not too sad. He was happy he visited but didn't want to return.

“Mobius?” Loki calls the agent’s name for a second time. A barely audible “Hm?” is Mobius’ only response. Loki is both irritated and curious. Mobius appears to be in deep concentration with his eyebrows furrowed and the tip of pink tongue peeking out from the corner of his mouth. It’s outright ridiculous for a TVA officer to look so…desirable. Just like earlier, when Mobius was fiercely tapping away on his TemPad while using that application. Loki had no idea what Mobius was actually doing, or how he managed to look so great doing it; with his quick and deft fingers sliding across the screen with such ease and precision. Stupidly, it made Loki wonder and imagine those fingers in another — more promiscuous — scenarios.

“Oh, yes,” Loki purred, stepping back a fraction. It wasn’t much but Mobius couldn’t say if he truly wanted space. The way the trickster’s eyes shimmered when he brought the book up into the small space between them felt electric. They tracked his tentative touch, how his fingers gently ran along the edge towards the joint. He let himself linger there, feeling sure Loki would enjoy the tease of circling the little open space. From the whimper he heard, Mobius knew he’d guessed correctly and did it again and again. By the time he finally dipped the tip inside, Loki had lost all composure entirely.

The shower is hot, thankfully. Mobius doesn’t think he’d be awake if it wasn’t for that heat seeping into his muscles, relieving the aches from working hunched over his desk all the time. Not that he’d been able to concentrate much with how sensitive his nipples have become from Loki playing with them constantly. They are determined to be right and apparently the only thing Mobius can do is make sure his body obeys… and soon. Sighing, he pours shampoo into his hands and begins massaging his scalp. It has no scent, but the simple act soothes him and more of that tension melts away when he closes his eyes and leans back to wash the suds out. He hums, delighting in how the water dims his hearing, and then gasps as a blast of cold air hits him and he realises he’s no longer alone.

Letting out a breath, they raise their hand again and bring it down a little harder on his other cheek. “Ah! Two!” Mobius gasps, back arching. Loki’s lips twitch, but schools their expression to take in how he’s handling it. His breaths are a little ragged, but not for long. Once he gets it back, he slumps down and lies still, waiting on their next move. They deliver a softer one, then another, and only give him a harder smack when they’re sure Mobius doesn’t expect it. The resulting hiss is exhilarating.

Mobius turns and buries his face again and Loki can’t blame him, but they know he trusts them. Despite his trepidation, he has willingly put himself here. All they need to do is deliver on the promise and help him see coming to bed on time is the healthier thing to do.

His voice is harsher than he anticipated but Celebrimbor doesn’t react other than to hurriedly pull at his own ties, breaking more than one in his urgency. The first sight of his soft belly chokes Annatar with such want, he stops removing his own clothes to rip open the elf’s and presses his face into the exposed flesh, sucking a bruise. “Anna… Annatar, Valar preserve me.” “No, let me preserve you,” he says, ripping the rest of his black robe off, feeling the breeze and the petals falling on his bare skin. Celebrimbor’s dark eyes widen and Annatar wants to drink him up, to take him apart and own him fully. Licking his lips, he settles himself in the elf’s lap.

When Loki moves their head back and Mobius opens his eyes, he wants so badly to grab their curls and drag them back down for another kiss. It’s only the crease along Loki’s forehead that stops him. “I don’t know what’s happening,” he breathes. “That’s okay, I’m here to teach you.” His cheeks heat up at the depth in Loki’s voice while his mind offers up images of what Loki might mean. He tries to push them down, but his heart is thudding in his chest as they take his hand and lead him back to the apartment. It’s both the fastest and longest walk of his life.

Mobius tiptoed into the bedroom the next morning, heading towards the shower. Loki was still in bed, their body turned away, almost hidden under the bedsheets. Only their black curls were visible, and from the stillness in their body, Mobius was sure they were pretending to be asleep. It made Mobius’ heart ache with regret for pushing them away for most of this mission. He needed to apologize, but the words felt tangled in his throat. Shaking his head at himself, he slunk into the bathroom. When the lock clicked, he let out a low sigh.
