Do you set up secureboot on your Linux installs? Why or why not?

The worst parts of Windows 11 is just hardware requirements (That aren't even that extreme, and Linux too can benefit a lot from a TPM2 + secureboot, just people want to be stubborn anyway) and AI slop shit that can be completely disabled anyway

#Linux_mint

I messed up a few things by backing out of the SecureBoot part of the installation process, which later caused the USB drive to not boot in UEFI mode. But it was fixed by changing one file name and one BIOS setting for me

Here I go gallivanting around your mentions, spreading silly stupid quips while telling you to update your SecureBoot certificates before Microsoft accidentally bricks your computer, haha~!

Oh come on Battlefield 6 requires a TPU and SecureBoot?
October 19, 2025 at 3:29 AM
Considering there is less than one year before all the Win SecureBoot certificates expire, it is not a very comforting feeling that the method to force the certificates to update is more advanced than it should be (and very easy to accidentally disable).

Thank you Battlefield, thank you Valorant.
