A pink and yellow lotus seen from above. The pink edges of the lotus flower curl inward gently towards the centre of the flower. Floating just under the water, are the green leaves that seem to support it. Because the sun is at an angle, the water below is dark and set off the brilliance of the colors.

The gardens are over an hour away from home, but well worth the visit in any season.
A Sacred Lotus occupies the top right quadrant of this image, contrasted by the deep deep green (almost black) of the lower left quadrant. The flower rises out of the water toward the viewer. Its petals are yellow, with pink tips. Eleven brilliant yellow pistils fill the centre of the flower, surrounded by a ring of stamens, only slightly less brilliant. A single green leaf is visible just below the surface of the water, filling the lower right quadrant.
