“Come in!” Angel called out, frowning at his reflection. His eyeliner was a little smudged, making it just a touch uneven. “Hey, Legs.” Glancing up, Angel couldn’t help but smile as he spotted Husk in the mirror closing the door behind him. “Hey, Whiskers.” He turned in his seat, crossing his legs at the knees so the slit up the side would show off his bare thigh, while he adjusted the top of his dress to make sure his fluff was perfect. “How do I look?” Angel tried not to blush as he said it. Husk looked him up and down slowly, his gaze staying on Angel’s thigh a moment longer than necessary, before he met Angel’s gaze. “You look great. As always.” “Aw, thanks,” Angel said warmly, trying not to let it show how much his words affected him as he started to turn back towards the mirror. “Just need to fix up my makeup and I’m all good to go on stage.” “What are you talking about?” chuckled Husk as he came closer, tail swishing across the ground. “You look perfect.” “You flatterer,” Angel said with a dismissive wave of his hand. “But my eyeliner is a little uneven.” “Let me see.” Before Angel could fully register what was happening, Husk was cupping his chin in his large hand and turning his face towards him and tilting it up. Angel felt his breath catch in his throat as he found himself staring up at the Overlord, who examined his makeup with a careful eye. He could smell Husk’s cologne, a sharp contrast to his sweet perfume, and would deeply inhale if he wasn’t sure it would make him look a little crazy. Trying to compose himself, Angel said lightly, “You see now?” “Mm.” Husk lifted his other hand, and Angel tried not to shiver as he pressed his thumb to the corner of his eye, swiping at it gently a few times before he released Angel’s face and stepped back. “There. Perfect, like I said.”
