The second response is part of in-group/out-group biases and narcissists ability to use that to gain power. Extreme Reactivity is how they convince you to ignore the human being next to you. How they get you to give up your rights in order to solve a problem they created.

The natural response to seeing incoherent rules is to become skeptical of them. Israel having a pass to abuse made people skeptical of German anti-Nazi laws, which then gave antisemitism a chance to come back. AfD has power in Germany today because rules were written out of extreme reactivity.

i made a declarative UI toolkit that uses the builder pattern with zero-cost diffing abstractions and it just flies with whatever i can give it, afaik it's faster than most UI toolkits now and i haven't even added memoization or reactivity yet!!

With a lithium-sulfur battery an EV could go 1000mi on 1 charge. Its anode is made chiefly of Li enabling greater reactivity. But, the more energy a lithium-sulfur battery stores the fewer charging cycles it can take. More development is needed for industrial use.
