The Newones are considered to be the youngest of the lightfolk created before our story begins. But with their penchant for order and discovery of metalwork under their frigid, volcanic lands, they have quickly become the most industrious people on the surface of Quaterath.
Here we see the Newone life cycle, from when they are first babies with insulating downy fur, to children and then teenagers. Here we see what Newones look like as young adults vs. how they look like when they are elderly. Older newones will have visible wrinkles on their faces and hair darkening at the tips, losing its purity and luster as they age.

Despite being sexually dimorphic, draéms are quite open-minded when it comes comes to gender identity and its exploration through the art of theatre. Male draéms who crossdress will bind their manes with cloth to appear more feminine, just like the draém on the left. While female draéms will fashion manes out of animal fur to appear more male, like the draém on the right.
