I generally leave the techy cameras like my Nikon D300 for my camera club. The EOS3000, Kiev 19, and Praktica MTL3 ditto. Holgas, toy cameras, and Sony Mavicas (etc) I'd reckon are fair game

i want to do an in camera split screen. that would be cool as fuck. got a fully manual DDR Praktica LLC coming in the mail next week, here's hoping it works because it was sold as untested (i only paid 30€ plus shipping and it comes with a carl zeiss lens so no big deal if it doesn't)

I've got a Praktica still in the shop but I'm excited to give 35mm a go. Currently messing with a M4/3 Olympus camera and it's a lot of fun but I do like the pure tactility of film.

To elaborate: With a small adapter ring you can use any M42 lens, even pre-auto-aperture ones that don’t clear the mirror and/or auto-aperture mechanism on native M42 cameras. Normally for these lenses you’d need to find an old pre-auto M42 camera like an original Praktica or FX.
