Australians have always been pragmatic.

No time for Bible-bashing bastards here!

It’s so funny how I personally went from a fairly pragmatic institutionalist to personally hating 95% of the Senate caucus in mere months.

Black women are the most pragmatic voting bloc in the US. Bar none.

Progressive activist Katie Wilson has pulled ahead of incumbent Bruce Harrell for the first time in the Seattle mayor's race, but the election remains too close to call. Results released Monday afternoon show Wilson leading by 91 votes.

people mistake this for being a doomer, when it's really just "bad shit is going to happen. knowing that, what do you do when it does?" very pragmatic. but some people can only function with total and complete born yesterday faith, because even a little negativity/doubt would shatter them.

In Opinion | The government is making medical schools more expensive, and it’s now up to educators to figure out a way forward. “The smartest, fastest and most pragmatic solution is simple: shorten medical school to three years,” three medical experts argue.

Always pragmatic voters.

But I'm also pragmatic enough to know that showing the students it's wrong is going to matter to a number of students who don't particularly care about the ones in the skeet above.

What little CS knowledge I have was hard won over a long period of time. I still don't really care for it, except where it's pragmatic enough to help me make better decisions while I work.

If you have a similar background to me, this article is your shortcut to more intentional programming.
The majority of us are a bunch of self taught people with rather spotty knowledge and that's fine! Kilian (also self taught) is here to share some of the computer science fundamentals you probably are missing with the aim to improve your code in the long term.

I keep seeing these videos by trans guys about how trans women are dominating trans advocacy because of socialisation and honestly it's a discredit to the numerous trans men who are involved daily in pragmatic community rooted activism every day without getting involved in promoting transmisogyny.

Something that I think online "discourse" encourages to an extremely unhealthy degree is a weird urge to scold people for being "negative" when they're actually just being pragmatic.

Another interim questline between zone campaigns, this one about Umbric and the Sunwell

Seems like they're going *very* hard on Lor'themar being the pragmatic leader in Midnight (except when it comes to Amani lol)

Of course *he* regards himself as a sophisticated statesman, not one of these lowly partisan rubes who can only parrot the party line. *He's* intelligent and pragmatic, you see.

the key thing about moderate branding is that it ISN'T about adopting the median policy position, it's about POSITIONING yourself as AUTHENTIC

and the really key part? getting your BASE to TRUST you to be principled *at the same time* as the median voter trusts you to be pragmatic

Ok I've bitched enough and am going to share some pragmatic info:

Many fish medicines are the same as what a doctor gives you. Antibiotics, anti-fungals, even antivirals. Same factories, quality. Just needs dosing.

They cost like $15/box. I guess petco will save lives when our useless AF gov can't

Four of the eight are former governors. That matters because the DLC (before it closed in 2011) specifically cultivated governors as their "pragmatic business-friendly" pipeline.

Tim Kaine was literally DLC Chair.

The institutions changed names. The network survived.

just intensely grateful for the life she's lived and sees value in pretty much anything that's thrown her way. always can rationalize something bad into a silver lining, probably to a fault. it's a pragmatic kind of optimism that is probably at least seventy percent a coping mechanism

also thinking about how the moment biden got elected the public option disappeared completely even from their rhetoric and wasn't even part of kamala's campaign. like you guys aren't even championing the Pragmatic Compromises anymore, not even in rhetoric.

If anyone thinks he’s not running for mayor in 2029 they aren’t paying attention. But honestly, if Vetaw & Palmisano are in the mayor bumper cars then, our pragmatic asses better hope Jazz is in there somewhere.

I also think it's a pragmatic view. The thing about having a viewpoint that's vulnerable to some level of retributive/negative polarization, and not being averse to conflict in general, is that you are more likely to tap into the sense of popular rage, which *is* demanding change.
