It’s Nurse Practitioner Week! I’m deeply grateful to all the Nurse Practitioners who keep our communities healthy and strong. My wife, Jan, is a Nurse Practitioner—and I see firsthand the compassion and dedication she brings to her patients every day.

Given how much trouble filesystems have with even accented versions of letters in the Latin alphabet, this makes me shudder. I've written quite a bit about the work of Donald Schön (theorist-practitioner of organisations & education); lost count of how many times I read things that call him Schon.

If you are a Black practitioner, and you’re wondering why nothing is coming to fruition for you. The answer could quite literally be your ancestors were Christians. They accepted that religion that was forced on them fully, so when you try to venerate them on the altar,

“I am assigned the duties of two people,” said Florence Uzuegbunam, a nurse practitioner who works in primary care at a VA hospital outside of Atlanta. “Many of my co-workers told me they are putting an average of four hours unpaid daily just to keep up with the workload.” #VeteransDay

The billed amounts are crazy, and people do intuitively think they can shop around, but it’s impossible (no practitioner knows what anything costs) and you get screwed for being uninsured.

She's blunt, obsessive, and pragmatic. A former Temple Knights chirurgeon, now a private practitioner who moonlights as a hunter/seeker of Voidsent.

The latest poll ratings must be good for the SNP if he's resorting to this sort of twaddle! Hope there's some Indy supporting dental practitioner out there who is prepared to take the necessary action at his pretence of being qualified to wear that garb!

As a practitioner (ie someone without enough patience to do a PhD or follow proper research methodology), it’s so nice to finally have somewhere to publish interesting historical or data snippets that are too arcane, boring or abstract for the news.

Makes me proud to be an APSA member.

Still think of the male heritage practitioner who smugly wondered if he'd be welcome at our "Women in Heritage" event, then turned up loudly late, stretched his arms out so he took up three seats, went for coffee and loo breaks throughout, then did a "more of a statement than a question" thing.

"Canadians deserve a transparent accounting of why so many lack a general practitioner; why ERs are collapsing under the weight of preventable conditions; why provinces failed to expand system capacity to match long-forecasted demographics, and most importantly, who is driving the collapse."
Hospitals across Canada are closing their ERs because there aren't enough doctors to run them. Millions don’t have a doctor. Millions more can’t get an appointment.

It didn’t used to be this way. Turns out it wasn’t an accident.

RT @jillpromoli.bsky.social : It's normal and okay to have questions about your health. Speak with a doctor or nurse practitioner for more information. The #FluShot is your best first defence , but it's only one part of a good #FluPrevention plan. Take each step you can to reduce risk.

As a lifelong practitioner of Van Dammetry, there are numerous moments in his movies where he shows the briefest flash of acting brilliance, only to be instantly nullified by whatever explosion or spin kick immediately followed.

A couple things about damakos, Obsidian's Blessing:

1) he's not an active practitioner or worshiper of any deity though he knows they exist.

2) If you press the right buttons he gets freakier. There's nothing he can do about it.
