This fangame adds a Portal gun to Super Mario Bros. and I'm keen to try it out. It's also got @crowdcontrol.live support, so I'm gonna turn that on for funsies

Had this sort of thing with my youngest boy. In the past he’s wanted a Portal gun, a Lego aquarium after it had long been discontinued,, Gravity Falls stuff which is amazingly thin on the ground, even in the Disney parks. Honestly, so proud.

I have a sneaking suspicion that it actually will be VR too 😬 I think Alyx was a test run. HL 1 and 2 both did big new things with physics and I think the huge delay of number 3 was caused by them releasing Portal as its own game instead of HL3 with a teleportation gun.

When I think of a unique game mechanic, the first thing that jumps out is the Portal gun. Which was ages ago. And I’m sure that had precedents.
